Birmingham and District Allotments Council

Guestbook

Our guest book is open to all who wish to make a useful contribution. It is not for plot holders to have a go at people on site or City Officers. We have an excellent means of communication with the BDAC - phone, write, e-mail me. The BDAC has very good reputation for resolving problems.
I would ask that the Guest Book be respected and used appropriately. A recent comment concerning a site secretary has been removed.

CONTAMINATED MANURE
I believe all cases have been identified. Problem known about last year on 4 plots in B'ham but not reported.
Supplier has been contacted about a possible compensation package.
Next thing is testing of soil and payment of bill for this.
Any news welcome.

contaminated manure
City has recieved results of tests. Nothing specific product identified. I am taking legal advice from National Society of Allotments and Leisure Gardens.
Any site affected please e-mail me direct and also advise Birmingham Allotments Dept.
I know problems have arisen around country and we would welcome any information which can help identify the cause.

hopefully in the near future continue to enjoy my allotments.
I would also like to thank Mo Riaz for his help and kindness also.

Is anything being done about the vandelism and burning down of sheds and greenhouses at the radleys site. People work hard on their plots, sheds and greenhouses are not cheap.ITS A DISGRACE THAT NOTHING IS BEING DONE TO HELP HARD WORKING ALLOTMENTEERS

Just thought I'd try leaving a message as Josie says that she's having problems. If this works I'll let her know I did it. Hope you all had a good meeting last Monday

We want to enter some vegetables in the competition at the Kings Heath Gardeners Weekend 2007.
We are aware of time passing by and there isno information on the competition/entry forms at our Allotments.
Can anyone suggest where we might be able to get an entry form before its too late?

Thanks,

Sally
